The Pyramid Project

Breaking the Cycle of Suffering

The Pyramid Project is K9 Miracles’ commitment to reducing animal suffering through sustainable population control programmes.

Across many regions of the world, uncontrolled breeding leads to growing populations of stray and abandoned animals.

The result is overcrowding, disease, starvation, and unnecessary suffering.

Through targeted spay and neuter campaigns,

the Pyramid Project aims to humanely reduce animal overpopulation while improving the health and welfare of local animal communities. Animals are safely trapped, sterilised, treated where necessary, and returned to their environment or placed into suitable homes when appropriate.

By addressing the root cause of the problem, we can create long-term improvements in animal welfare rather than simply responding to the consequences.

Every animal neutered today prevents countless future animals from being born into hardship.

This work directly supports K9 Miracles’ charitable objective of running spay and neuter campaigns to minimise the overpopulation of stray animals.

My inspiration

The Pyramids Project began with a single dog.

While visiting the Great Pyramid, I met a beautiful, friendly bald dog who was so desperately thirsty that she drank water from my hands.

Until that moment, I had no idea that hundreds of dogs were living among the pyramids, struggling every day for food, water, medical care, and survival.

Meeting that little dog changed everything.

Looking into her eyes, I realised she represented countless other dogs whose suffering went unseen by the millions of visitors who came to admire these ancient wonders.

I named her Cairo, and she became the inspiration for the Pyramids Project.

Her story continues to drive our mission to improve the lives of the dogs who call the pyramids home.
